This task force focuses on providing education for all residents to prevent alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among youth.  The Task Force is currently concentrating on Social Host Laws & Underage Drinking on a county-wide basis using .  Special projects in the past have focused on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome,  World No Tobacco Day, Red Ribbon Week, Back to School Drug Prevention Education and alternative activities for middle school and high school students.  

It Matters Kansas

The It Matters website and related educational campaigns are sponsored by Kansas Behavioral Health Services, which helps communities understand the extent and cause of substance abuse problems and take action to reduce and prevent them.  

Request Prevention Training

Through a grant from Golden Belt Community Foundation, the task force was able to purchase alcohol & marijuana impairment goggles, scooters, and training kits to be used for educational purposes throughout Barton, Pawnee, Rush, & Stafford counties.  If you would like to schedule a demonstration please email CRowland@bartoncounty.org
